I refer to my acoustic lyrics as poems because they are miniature stories. Each capturing a moment in life, a feeling, a lesson I've learned, or an interesting observation. They are not composed with the intention of following a standard lyric pattern, and range from a classic song-structure to a narrative poem. Most of the time, however, they take the shape and form of a mellow acoustic ballad.
