Raquel Aurilia
Editor's Pick
Raquel Aurilia’s warm-toned vocal hues free her from any easy comparison with the past. Sure, her debut was a more traditional pop material, but really, this young woman is all soul and she is definitely demontrating her uniqueness. Her new songs show how far she has matured as an artist: the intimate, soul inspired “Dreams”, “Come home to me”, where her voice expresses a deep maturity, the introspective “There’s still time”, while “Reach for stars” and “Little things I love” manifest Raquel Aurilia’s luminous music energy and the universality of love. So, whereas past songs have shown Aurilia’s polish and a good mix of grace, sensitivity and mirth, her new outing stands as her most personal, assured and sensual recording, and is apt to get your heart moving and your mind dreaming in equal measure.
